Super Shuttle International, Inc. announced today
it has acquired Grayline Air Shuttle Inc, a Coach USA company in New
York, NY. The acquisition will allow Super Shuttle NY to substantially expand its current
operations at the three New York area airports as well as its Manhattan
service with the addition of 50 drivers and vans.
Super Shuttle began operating in the New York area with service to Newark,
JFK and La Guardia Airports back in 1998. This new acquisition will include a joint
marketing alliance with Grayline New York Tours, Inc. The joint venture will
include Grayline selling tickets for airport transportation on SuperShuttle at
a variety of ticket outlets and select hotels throughout Manhattan.
"We think New York is a key market for us, and our operation needed to
expand," said Brian Wier, president and CEO of SuperShuttle International,
Inc. "This acquisition will allow us to make the necessary expansion we
need and will allow Grayline/Coach USA to continue working with their customers
by marketing with us in a joint venture".
Grayline Air Shuttle Inc. has operated in New York since 1988 serving
JFK, La Guardia and Newark International Airports to and from over
forty mid-town Manhattan hotels.
Super Shuttle will operate a combined fleet of over 120 vans, providing service
to hotels, businesses and residents.
